Petra Poláčková began her guitar studies at the age of six. She got lessons from Mr. Faltus and Mrs. Pavelkova. She also studied with Zdenek Dvorak in Prague. In 2004 she graduated from an 8-year high school in Roznov pod Radhostem. In 2010 she completed her studies at the School of Music in Pardubice (Czech Republic) with Prof. Petr Saidl. She obtained her Bachelor and Master Degrees with Prof. Paolo Pegoraro at Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Graz, Austria.
In addition to her degree studies, Petra Poláčková has participated in an impressive number of masterclasses throughout Europe presented by internationally acclaimed classical guitarists and musicians: Leo Brouwer, Zoran Dukic, Massimo Felici, Hubert Käppel, Pablo Márquez, Elena Papandreou, Thomas Müller-Pering, Judicael Perroy, Pavel Steidl and others. In 2011 she received the Merit Diploma at the Chigiana Academy of Siena in Maestro Oscar Ghiglia´s Class.
As a result of her extraordinary musicianship, consummate virtuosity, and numerous first prizes, she has been invited to perform and lead masterclasses at many prestigious European and also non-European guitar festivals. Since 2010 she has been a co-organizer of the Guitar Festival Mikulov (Czech Republic).

Maya Descheemaeker is a 21-year-old classical guitarist from Belgium, searching for sounds and colors to express different emotions. Already from a young age, she knew she wanted to perform and share her music with other people, a cause that never left her.
She started playing the guitar at the age of 8 and later studied with Robert Denies where she got her first taste of the classical guitar repertoire and fell in Love. After 6 years, at the age of 18 Descheemaeker started studying with Joan Fostier and since then won multiple international prizes in Spain and Russia. She’s currently studying with Johan Fostier at the Fontys Hogeschool voor de Kunsten in Tilburg (The Netherlands).
